Maths and Physics tutoring for IB students in The Hague

From engineering to teaching

I trained as a chemical engineer and worked in industry for ten years, mostly in quality and process roles, in sectors from energy to technology. That gave me something I still use every day with students: a practical sense of what Maths and Physics are for.

When I left Spain, I started tutoring, and I have done it for more than fifteen years, almost all of it within the IB. It began when my own children went through the programme, and over the years it has become what I know best: what is expected at each stage, how the assessments work, and where students tend to get stuck.

I work with each student at their own pace, and I pay close attention to detail: how a solution is set out, which steps are missing, where marks slip away. Most students who struggle with Maths or Physics are perfectly capable of it. What they need is time, patience, and someone to explain it until it makes sense.
